You made it... You worked hard and made a very good How-To

One of the lil' org things that's bugging me is that how-tos are not marked as such since they now reside in their respective sections. Perhaps I need a new marker for threads that reach the caliber of FAQ - such as your thread.

rideguy,
don't mention snowmobiling to me!!! :mad It's been too long; and I even have an invitation from dirtrider (well I did ) to go to Montana and ride one of his SnowHawks

Excellent job Meat.

I'm proud to be part of it.

There is enough info in there to make a perfect LC4 and run it until the fossil fuel reserves finally deplete, and by then there will be a conversion thread on modding the motor to run on camel piss.

I never thought of that, although getting spit on every time you fill up would suck.

That's part of being a biker.

I went cross country for a month camping out most of the way - I think I smelled pretty bad. Was to be a circumnavigation of the lower 48, but a cam chain ended that dream.

And did you get spit on at service stations?

Check the index for cam chain advice.

We are not yet in the Camel era here in N. America...

It was a 1978 KZ1000Z1R, not indexed.

Meat, when I searched for the "Break-in" thread, it was more difficult because of the altered title. I think it is a good idea for the Index to have a more specific and appropriate Title for the threads rather than Original posters Titles. One thing you could do is simply make a post in each thread containing the Indexed Title of your choosing. That way you can refine the title for those that are using the search feature as well as the Index and if you happen to loose a thread here or there they will be easy to trace...Nice work btw and I am thinking of starting a Husky 610 Index for our little group ...

Dan

p.s. One thing that always has frustrated me has been the inability to change a Threads Title once created...

Good points Dan, thanks for the feedback.

Unfortunately I haven't found the time/will to do the necessary maintenance on the index as is - I need to reformat the links (started...) and then cull the optional/less important stuff to Post #2 (barely started). That will make stuff easier to find! - so adding the index title as a post to each thread is "daunting" to me at this moment. Shall I ask for volunteers? Perhaps not until I finish some more housekeeping (when I might change some index titles as well).

I wondered why nobody had done this for other model lines...

ps - your last comment should go in the Ask Baldy forum; I cannot change that. You can ask mods like Arch to change titles as I recall.
