You can sometimes find a slightly newer factory supertrapp with internal discs dirt cheap. doesn't save much weight, but looks better and keeps the discs out of the mud (and keeps the hot gasses away from the plastic bits better)
I think theres one on Ebay for $160. Think Ill just sandblast this one for now and see if I can get another year out of it unless something cheaper comes along.

Replacing just the seal will probably work if the waterpump shaft is not grooved too deeply... The seal #s are DG 15 24 7... A bearing shop can likely supply it for about $10... Make sure you get a double lip seal which is probably what the DG in the part # refers to...

Thanks
Found it, not going to order it but got a good part number.

As long as it is a 2 lip seal it should work.... A while back an inmate was frustrated after installing seals a couple times and finding his pump would still leak shortly after... It turns out the seals he was using were the single lip variety designed to only seal from one direction... The waterpump seal must work from both: keeping the oil in the engine side and the coolant in the waterjacket/rad...

the pull throttle cable adjuster at the carb is at the max too.
The idle thing doesn't sound right, are you sure you have a correct idle jet and that you mixture is set up right?

the carb came off a good running 640ADV - GreyDawggg's bike

all i done to the carb was install this Air Fuel Jet Screw (set to what the OE was) - to suit KTM EXC SX FCR Carb (the seller said it the one i needed)
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Air-Fuel-Jet-...item2a0505784b

did i buy the wrong one

here it is before i installed it NOTE the fast idle spring you can see it's wound right up.

The mixture screw is ok, but what I was thinking is the idle jet, the jet that passes fuel into the air flow at idle....

Maybe Laramie could chime in and explain thing better than me.

Rear Fender?

I've got an LED taillight on the LC4E and the oem tail light lens is MIA, and the OEM fender is rough too.

So is there a KTM rear fender that will fit the Enduro without a Taillight?
I plan on ordering all new plastic also. 10 years has left the parts faded and looking like crap anyway.

TT, I could use those green parts now.

Caution....

Hey guys,
I was pulling the impeller cover and just broke a bolt off flush.Seized
So I would suggest everyone go out to their LC4 and pull the bolts one at a time and clean the rust off with the Wire Brush and add some anti-seize to each one.

This is going to be a PITA job now.

Do you know a really good TIG Welder??
If you do..he can build up whats left of the bolt , weld a nut to that...while it cools spray with PB Blaster...let sit for a few min...back out the broken bolt, have a cold beer..replace the bolt and be happy.

NOTE: I have had to repeat this a few times on the same bolt, but have yet to have one I couldn't get out. Including the rear/top exhaust bolt on a 99 Ultraclassic..that had never been out in it's life and was 2 threads below the surface..it took 5 tries. (engine was still in the bike).
