Wish I'd known about that 15yrs ago when my
wife and I visited San Francisco. We spent a whole
afternoon up on the Clift's just north of the golden gate
bridge. I got some great pictures from up there.
on 35mm. Would have been cool to hang out with beach
boys and camp on the beach. but the water is COLD!

Awesome. I'll probably need it. I made the mistake of going and stopping in Miami. I don't plan on doing anything on the fly in any major city again.

Update

So the military, fantastic as logistics are there, messed up my shipment of items, so I'll be stuck in Houston til Wednesday, and I'll ride out that evening for Waco (Just north of Austin). Puts quite a time restraint on making it to Trinity, but I think my Wee will take care of me and throw down some miles.

If you need a place to stay in Waco let me know. And 90-100 miles I don't consider "just north of" Austin lol! Be careful you don't get on the toll road just out of Austin. No signs that I saw indicate it. But it was dark and I was tired lol!

Cool thing about toll roads in TX, active military ID's shown to the teller gets you through for $FREE.99

Yeah. But you are a civilian now! You gotta get a real job! Settle down, get married, have kids, buy a house, like most of the rest of us.

I don't think he's quite come to grips with that in his own mind.

It'll take a while before he does and the military will always be a part of him.

And as of today I'm officially a college kid. We're going to need a /ride/ report just for that!

As I recall the booth I went through was near Killeen/Ft Hood. My ID was in my wallet and visible when I looked to find out I had no cash. Maybe that's why she told me to just go ahead

Ha! Soon you will be broke like me. I got 2 college kids.
Always needing money for something.
They were just home for spring break. Had to give
them gas and food money to go back to WCU
Can't afford toll roads. Stick to dirt roads just dont get lost.
