It's your bike but agree 100% with Rob. Ride/enjoy that one for what it is and butcher another bike.

I'll make it easier for you

I'll give you $400 for the front lighting, side covers, Wixoms and seat...
They'll look great on my Eldo, and you'll have enough cash to trash the rest of the bike.

I agree with anyone who suggested you carefully remove + save any stock/original parts, and do not alter the frame in any way to "create" a cafe'd rider out of this fucking AWESOME example of a vintage Moto Guzzi.

I also agree with whomever suggested you sell this bike, and buy a _________________ (insert ANY other bike BUT this one here) to "cafe" (is "cafe" a verb? it is now, I guess ).

i might end up slightly cafe with my eldo, but thats only because other than the frame, engine and wheels- its a total loss. and its much cheaper to make a stripped down racer looking thing than restore it.

if i had the money, id bring it back. eldos in stock form are superb

That bike looks great. I'd look for a fixer upper and cafe that.

Yeah no shit. I'm WAY over it. I'm on the fence with bobbers, too- and I own one. Choppers? Cool in 1969 (Easy Rider). Beyond that, fuhgeddabouddit.

I say cafe it, just 'cause it'll make some purist somewhere cry a little; you'll also have the only one on the block so it'll be double bad ass.

Don't have to chop it to make a nice riding bike.

Before the restoration. 1970's period touring bike:

AFTER the restoration. Naked and clean. Add a fly screen and low bars, viola!

Make it YOUR bike.
