Shoei Helmets and Channel Hair
I'm on my second Shoei helmet (Multitec and Neotec) and have worn these over the course of 4+ years. My one critique of these helmets is that after wearing them over 30 minutes I always have a channel on the top of my head where my hair has parted due to the helmet liner. Does not matter if I have long or short hair (mostly very short) and always makes me look damn silly when I take the helmet off. I always put a hat on at stops. So I'm probably being a bit vain but it's also a pita when I ride to the office.
So, any suggestions. Am I the only one who has this issue. I've tried various helmet liners but just make my hair look like Gary Busey's. None of the folks I ride with have Shoei's so I do not have a reference point.

I have the same problem. I usually have some bottled water with me to drink during my stops, so when I take my helmet off I dowse my head with water. It doesn't eliminate the channel hair problem, but it helps. And it's refreshing.

Yea a do-rag will make for an interesting look with my Klim jacket and Aerostich pants.
So the consensus is 1. Suck it up and embrace the hair (while I still have some) 2. Wear the baseball cap off the bike (which I already do) 3. I'll never look like the guy beachmoto posted but then who the hell does
