Garage Sale finds!

My wife and I went to an estate sale in Potomac, MD this morning. I made a couple cool purchases:

This is the garage, which, of course, made me drool:

Want to guess what is under the cover?

Some of the prices were not very good.

I did pick up these though:

And:

Just kidding, it was already sold!

The two sets of SS screws were $45, probably $200+ worth of metric screws, nuts and washers that I am always needing.

The other sets of screws and misc fasteners were all standard, so no use to me.

Jim

PS What have you found at a garage/yard/estate sale?

I KNEW that was a Cobra before the picture with the cover off. Of course, the wheels were a dead give away, that and the Goodyear tires.

Jim: do you know if it was a "real" Cobra, a kit or a continuation car?

Nice score on the fasteners. That should keep you well stocked for a while.

It is a 2005 aluminum reproduction show and race car.

Thanks, they will come in very handy.

I have a friend that stopped at a garage sale and saw a old Triumph in the back of the garage. He asked about it, the woman got her husband & he said for $250 you can have it, with the title. It was a 1973 750cc Tiger in pretty good original cond. He had it running in a couple of days, it did puff a little smoke out the right cyl. but he ran it for that summer that way. Ive gotten deals but none like that.

Moped score!

I don't post often, but I'm kinda proud of this deal.
My wife drug me along to the city wide garage sales in the rain. At our first stop I found a moped, it ran but needed some fixin'.
I drove it home in the rain with a smile on my face for $100.

I removed some of the stickers and duct tape residue and repaired the broken turn signals.

My best find isn't motorcycle related. Many years ago, when I was a poor college student, I bought a $250 zoom lens for my Canon AE-1P for the princely sum of $12.00. The seller was getting rid of, "All the crap my son left behind when he moved out," I took a lot of nice photos with that lens...some with motorcycles in them.
