I'm thinking a fear of being found.
Being tracked down for non-payment of alimony or child support are concerns to some.

Don't think the plate number is relevant but the location might be. They also don't tell you what bike they own or are working on. Often the year/model may not be relevant for the original question but as the thread evolves it then becomes relevant. It should be in the first post because many pages later it is the place to look for this info.

I own a few bikes now. I've owned a few more in the past. You want all that stuff listed? Why? So you can 'judge' the reply based on the bike/s I own/ have owned? Some own the bike but get others to service it. Some like me do their own work, including gearbox repairs etc. Sorry but just the bikes listing does not work.

I do it because of a fear of theft.

Who knows whom is lurking these forums? Could be a bike thief scoping out who has what, and filtering out only the stuff that he wants, like high priced motorbikes???

Is the XT 500 stored outside and unlocked? I may be right over if so.

Some of us are not into same old, same old.
Some of us are unique.
Some of us are thinkers and some would like others to pause for thought.

If I still had every dollar I spent on motorbikes I would be a richer man but a poorer person.
