I've had a pair of TCX X-Five boots for two years now. Best boots I've ever worn-- fit true to size, break in easily, first-rate construction, comfortable off the bike, waterproof, simple velcro operation. Would totally buy another pair in a heartbeat. Only downside is that after two years the soles have worn down enough that I'll need to soon replace them, but that's to be expected with boots.

I've got the pro 2 MX boots that I use for DS riding and the airtech boots for street. Two big thumbs up on both pairs of boots. As good (and better) than anything else on the market IMHO.

I got mine lightly used in the flea market sub forum about four years ago, and I have been wearing them on every ride since then. They are comfortable, more protective than most touring boots, waterproof, and still as good as new.

About a year and a half ago I walked into my local premo MC gear store with the intent of buying the best damned boots I could find, regardless of price. I wanted something that offered real protection and good fit. Normally I shop by price tag first and everything else is a compromise. I fully expected to walk out with some A-stars or dainese something-or-other. But instead it was TCX S-Race street boots.

I like them.

I can say they have good customer service as well. Had some stitching come apart in my TCX boots, sent them back and they repaired them quickly at no charge. Told me if they were unable to repair my boots, they'd send me new ones. No complaints from me. Have had them a year since then and no problems.

I'd like to add a pair of more ADV-ish boots to my closet, something waterproof/resistant. I'm so happy with the TCX'es I have I am thinking of going for the TCX X-Desert.

Been wearing mine pretty much every day for 3 years now, still absolutely waterproof, got a few scuffs on them but looks like many more years in them yet.

I'd probably buy another pair if they got trashed.

I bought some X-Fives based on a recommendation from Revzilla. I am very happy with them!! They fit very well and required zero break-in.

I have really wide feet (4EEEE) and no matter what TCX not I tried on, they would not fit.

FYI... I'm 4E, also. I measure 7 1/2 in street shoes, but I buy 9EE or 9EEEE (when available), just for the extra room in the shoe/boot.
I just got a pair of TCX X-Desert in 43 (equivalent to a US9), and wore them for a few hours this weekend- they fit pretty good. I can probably wear them all day. They are maybe a tad wider than my Gaerne SG-10's (also size 43).

I just retired a pair of 6 year old Infinities . . . GREAT boot, very comfortable . . . the Gore-Tex liner in the left boot finally gave in after 6 years of riding in nearly every imaginable weather condition . . .

Gore-Tex just replaced them under their life-time waterproof warranty this last week and I chose the TCX X-Desert . . . they're a bit more stout boot than the Infinity . . . a bit stiffer to break in . . . comfortably snug, a bit more protective, and equally as nice and well built as the Infinity.

Two things I've learned about boots over the years . . .
#1. TCX (formerly Oxtar) makes a great boot . . .
#2. It pays to step up and get a Gore-Tex lined boot . . . their life-time waterproof warranty is unbeatable and their customer service is second to none. I had my replacement X-Deserts within 5 days.
