Negative... Literally fell into this one. A great guy from the Washington coast was pitted next to me yesterday. He commented on my TT and said he had a 1980 he'd sell for $500. WITH A TITLE!!! I yelled sold before he finished his sentence!!

Man, I would have too. I usually check the ksl.com classifieds at least once a day and there was a TT500 for $500 the other day and it was marked as Sold before I even saw it. Where did you end up on your jetting?

The jetting hasn't been messed with,,, yet. I have a 6DH3 needle on order. There was looks of hesitation and some lean popping in the corners. I think, didn't write it down, it had a 6FJ6 in it from WPS.
What I ran it with was;
2.5 cut away slide
P8 needle jet
240 main
35 pilot

Didn't get enough track time to do any adjustments.

Well... I'm just a "Slow Old Fart"!!
Couldn't keep up with the 540cc Yamaha TT's.
I did manage 3rd from a field of 5.
It's been 36 years since my last trophy...

AWESOME!

As a T250/T500 owner, I have often enjoyed your earlier racing photos and I'm overjoyed to see that you are still podiuming!

Is 540cc as big as you can go? I was at an ice race or a short track around '80 and there was a TT500 with tons of hp and a stock frame swapping all over the track. Some guy standing next to me said it was built up around 700cc. Was he full of it I guess?

I know Powroll used to make 605cc kits for them. A friend had one in a street plated '77 TT500 in the early '80s. I never rode it but heard it was pretty bad a$$.
Never heard of a 700cc kit. I think that would be pushing the available space inside the engine.
