Moose Expedition jacket vs MSR Trans Jacket

I'm wanting to get a jacket that converts to a vest. Both of these fit that bill. Anyone have first hand experience with either/both of these jackets?

I have looked at and tried on that particular Moose Expedition jacket. It runs small IMO.
How much you got in it? StreetBikeMike

I looked at that moose expedition jacket and read a lot of reviews. Common complaints come from leaking zippers around the arms. I also worry about the light grey white getting really dirty really fast.

I havent ordered the Jacket yet but did get the 2014 style pants. They seem pretty good although I have only had 1 January ride in them. I would say they are less "robust" than the Klims that I was looking at but they were also half the price.

I have the Moose jacket and am happy with it. I don't take the sleeves off, well ever but the turn it into a fanny pack option I use all the time. If it's cold in the morning I put it on and when it warms up I strap it around my waist. Also on warm days take off with it around my waist and if it looks like rain, on it goes. Haven't had any leaks yet but I haven't ridden with it for hours in a gully washer either. YMMV

msr jacket

I've had the MSR Trans Jacket for like 4 years.
It runs true to size. I wear an xl and can fit my chest protector and hydro pack under it.
It's all nylon so it's hot and doesn't breath all that well.
That's the only down side. For the money I like it.
I wear it as a vest more often in spring and fall just to have pockets.

All the colors are much darker than it appears. The 'white' you think you see is actually a gray. At lest thats how mine was/is.
