Best place to order a piston and cylinder

Looking for the best place to order a 950 rear cylinder and piston. Piston is chipped on top edge of exhaust side, but still above ring groove. Cylinder is deeply scored and looks as though nikasil coating has been removed. Will post some pics later.

Send it to US Chrome to be re-coated and/or welded up, about $180 to $240 depending on how deep the groove is. Will look better than new. Need to send the piston also.

I second Zuber's suggestion. A new cylinder is about $450. US Chrome will send yours back looking as good as or better than new. Scary part is that a OE piston is over $400.

You might also try contacting the Vertex & Wiseco Importer-Located outside Brisbane. They can hook you up:

$688 for both here

If the cylinder isn't galled deep in the aluminum, I'd go with the suggestions above to rechrome. I've sent some to US Chrome and they've come back better than new. Need to send them the new piston with it too, they'll make sure its properly gapped.

Thanks for all the responses guys, have sourced a good 2nd hand unit. But will follow up on the suggestions if it doesn't work out.
