Thanks for the info. There is a Kymco dealer near me. My only question would be reliability.

You make more than one good point Andoulli.

KYMCO builds a great scooter. BMW thinks highly of them too!

Semi Road-Trip...

My ONLY gripe is the seat, and I'm on my 3rd reconfiguration on mine (my wife is happy with her OEM seat) but anytime you do a 350 + mile day, there's gonna be some discomfort.

That said, they really shot themselves in the foot with this scooter in relation to the seat IMO.
That's a great trip. I mentioned to you about my trip to San Diego from here in LA and that we might go through Temecula, but we did LA-coast-San Diego Vespa Motorsport (servicing)- then to Palomar- HWY 74 and Idylwild, then back to LA via 60.

Not as long as yours, but we did cover 440 miles in one day. I was the only BV350, the two others on my journey were both (sadly underpowered) GTS300 Vespas.

I bought an AirHawk for my seat, so I did better on my 440 mile day, than other 150 mile days without it.

See you at Amerivespa!

Nobody likes throwing money away, but it's not a scam if you know what they are charging for everything up front. You can shop around and compare OTD prices. I was able to negotiate a little off, but they know if they price too high, customers would by other scooters. They are still a good deal when you compare apples to apples.

Ok, I'm hooked...

We drove up to Fresno from Bakersfield to look at scooters. The local dealers either don't have freeway ready scoots or they have $10000 scoots. Neither of which I really want.

So Wilson's in Fresno has a black 350 and I think I'm in lust. We didn't pull the trigger YET... the decision was to check here to see if there was any chatter on the 350.

Wow... talk about a love fest!

The thing I was looking for is something to haul in the toy hauler for local type trips when we are being tourists (and not hauling other toys). This looks like it would fit the bill and freeway legal.

So, one last thing.. how is this for two up? With both of us we're looking at around 350 lbs with helmets and clothed. What's the verdict?

Gerg, I can't answer your questions but I bought my sportcity from Wilson's. They didn't have the BV when I bought mine.

GF and I are just a bit over 300. We rode two up for the first time on my BV last night. I took it to 70. While it is a bit slower than with just a rider as you would expect, it still accelerated briskly and didn't seems to be straining at all to maintain that speed.

And my new Scooter is sitting in the driveway with 110 miles on it (not bad for a 100+ degree day). This thing is a HOOT! After 45+ years on motorcycles the pure fun has returned!

I'll post my impressions a bit later but dealers ARE dealing.
