80 is nasty. Coming back from Tahoe Sunday afternoon was brutal too- Not massively windy, but windy enough that with the heat, it really dragged you down.

Oh man. My brother and I rode from Reno to Susanville on 395 last year, it howled the whole time. Our bikes were cranked over 20 degrees the whole way! Nerve racking... We got to Susanville safely, but the pucker factor was high most of the way.

I tapped out here, extreme downhill, washout on my left, dropoff on my right, overloaded 1150GS. Wind was steady at about 50 mph and gusting over 70 mph. I slept in the ditch for a couple hours until the wind slowed down to 45-50 mph gusts and 35 mph or so steady.
