Where are you now?

Based on your times in KZ, I may miss you (which I will be very disappointed about) but I am in S. Korea. I will be in KG in mid-May, then back in S. Korea in June. If you are here, I would love to show you some roads, and also we can arrange some bedspace. BTW, don't worry about "motorways" as they're boring anyway. We'll get you on great twisties, maybe some mild offroad if you want, and if the Dear Leader of the North chills out, we will go up near the DMZ too! Great riding up there!

A place to stay north of Seattle...

Saw that you were headed to Vancouver. If you need somewhere to crash, do some bike maintenance, or whatever, I live twenty five minutes north of Seattle. Big garage and guest room are open for a fellow Scrambler rider.

Good luck and good riding. Looks like an awesome trip!

I'm having an oil leak from the neutral switch down by the oil filter. I have ordered a replacement part and it should get to SLC by Tuesday!

Hey Paul, thoroughly enjoying the blog. Best of luck to you on your travels. If you need some light reading on the way, look up Sam Manicom's books. He is a fella from Jersey (the Channel Island) who pretty much rode the world a while back. Great reading and he has some interesting tales and some very good advice. Anyway, do you plan on coming down under?

Inspired already!

Bought my Scrambler (first bike) in 2011. I came across The Long Way Round shortly after that and have daydreamed about this kind of thing ever since.

Be safe and have a blast! I'll be watching closely.

Paul - Truly a Great Escape. Will be reading with much interest. There are some great roads in Australia (and the occasional vintage camera shop!).

I'm in Melbourne Vic - PM me if a lap of Oz is on the cards for Stage 3 - there'd be a lot of ADVers/Scram riders more than happy to offer a room and road suggestions.

Enjoy every moment.
