Realize I didn't post, received the panniers last week and they are awesome! 2+ weeks later and happy trails still hasn't sent my mounting hardware so no mounted pictures yet. The bottle opener works well though!

I ordered HT mounts at two different times. Good mounts, a little slow on shipping sometimes.

Rob's KP-3s getting ready to be welded tonight...

And look what shows up in the mail today. How cool is this??

I bought a small run just to see how I like them. They are laser-etched. They were on my doorstep 3 days after ordering them!!!

And, of course, I need to fly one myself.

So, for bottle opener pricing, I've come up with the following:

Plain, StarrX opener; installed - $15.

StarrX opener with "Kirk's Panniers" lettering; installed - free. (customers only) This freebie is a small token of my appreciation for putting my name out there. Any local gents who want to have their plain openers swapped out for the K.P. openers, drop me a p.m.

kelsow, I have your addy. p.m. me if you want one sent to the same address or not.

I realize that not everyone wants a bottle opener on their bags. I want to meet with a local engraver to make some nice looking self-adhesive emblems. They will go on bags with no openers. If the end user doesn't want it on there, it will peel off. Just some ideas I have in the works. Still figuring out things as I go...

In the works! I may need to sell a couple more sets to buy the volume I need, but they will be nice! I need to make some phone calls on Monday.

Every previous customer that wants some will get some shipped for free. Give me a shout and you will get on the mailing list.

I'm going to have some very nice Polyurethane "domed top" decals made up. I don't know how fast their turn-around time is, but I'm guessing I should have some in hand within a month. If it doesn't cost too much extra, I want to see if I can get the background color reflective. That would be pretty nice!

what about plain vinyl die cut decals done with 3m scotchlite material, they make a simple black, reflective.

bound to be cheaper than poly "puff" decals

Yeah, no doubt it would probably be a fifth of the price.

I think reflective is definitely on the want list. No matter what I order, I do want that. It's a nice added safety feature.

Here's what got me started on the domed top decal kick...

I got these in the mail the other day and really liked how nice they look. I want mine to be an elongated oval with red, reflective background. KP lettering color as yet undetermined. Something with good contrast. Probably black, white, or maybe a grey.

Vinyl would probably be less than a dollar per label. Just guessing? but these Polyurethane decals will likely be $5 each and will probably have a minimum run of several hundred to get them for that price. I'll investigate more on Monday...

I just have these in mind, so that's what I want to put on my panniers. Once I see things in my mind, I just have to figure out how to make it happen.

Will it be worth 5x the price? I think so.
