Not your average Dual Sport ride report...

Here is a ride report video from a ride we did last month.
Change the settings to 1080 if you can. I dont shoot on a GoPro HD3 Black ProTune ON 1080p for nothing.
Feel free to comment or share this.
Thanks for watching...

Awesome!

Awesome video! Shared it with a friend I am trying to convince to get a dual-sport for the summer.

Well that's a hell of a first post! Nice video editing, I find it especially time consuming to sync clip changes to the beat of the music, but you've done it very well. What software are you using?

Nice subject matter too! Looks like a great ride.

Yeah, first post. I have researched from this site plenty of times over the years though.
Thanks for noticing the editing. Very time consuming. I find the most difficult thing to do is organize footage and try to make a nice video from a one day ride.
I use Final Cut Pro 7. I have been on FCP since 1999. I know my way around it pretty well and use various plugins for effects here and there.

Here is the February ride if you want to watch it as well....

This is in Greeley Hill, CA. Sort of near Yosemite, CA.
I live in the mountains between Tahoe and Yosemite so when we are snowed in, we can ride over there which is like an hour away. Pretty fun stuff.

I am not sure if any of you guys that are reading this are somewhat local to my area, but there is another dual sport ride simliar to this coming up this weekend of April 27th (big bikes) and 28th (450's, etc).
Outside of Tuolumne, CA. Mainly fireroads and doubletrack, but beautiful scenery and some fun stuff.
Call Dave at Dave's Adventure Cycles...some more info from Dave...

Total Mileage for Sunday is about 82 miles. Typical combo of dirt roads, two track, trails, pavement and jeep roads.
The Casino has moved our staging area. Parking behind Fire Station. Call shop for directions.
Working on Saturday's course. Mileage will depend on size of bikes and riders ability. Should be a great day.

Call shop with any questions and to give us an idea of how many are coming. Thank to those who have already let us know.

A good friend will take you trail riding, an ADV friend will double back and say, "how did you get down there?"

Not to discount Final Cut, but Adobe Premiere is also fantastic for this kind of stuff + syncing up video with music. It's very quick and snappy to work with and syncing is easy, just takes a little time :)
