Greetings from Newfoundland

Hey guys make sure you visit http://www.ridetherock.com and post your progress and any questions you may have about things to see, do and places to ride. The weather is crap here the past few days but supposed to get better here later this week.

Excellent R.R.

I see lots of pictures taken of the two of you. Your trip must be well funded or sponsored to have your own photographer!

Great ride report.....

Thanks for taking the time for what turns out to be a great RR. It makes it nice for folks like me who can come along from my ole recliner! :-)

One of my favorite shots too! The bikes are running great. Gonna get a little tune-up in St. John's probably.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments! I try to get on here as often as I can but the problem with camping is the trees and the rocks don't provide free wifi.

Here's a little update, though! We just crossed the cosway to Cape Breton Island and are taking a break in a visit it's centre. Today we have another hour or so of riding to where we'll be camping for the night. We're going just north of the eastern start of the Cabot trail. That way, we can ride the trail on the shore side! Yay.
Then after the trail tomorrow we head to North Sydney to catch our ferry. That's going to be exciting.

We've done a part of the Cabot Trail today. Some pretty knarly stuff!
You guys would not believe the stuff we saw and the stuff we rode through. Dumping more pics when I have my laptop out on the ferry.

I suspect those of us who have passed through that way in the past have a pretty good idea of the possibilities ...did you go to Meat Cove at all? The hill you ride down to get there is a white-knuckler, to be sure...but well worth the experience...

Which ferry are you taking to the Rock - the one to Port aux Basques,or to Placentia Bay? I think you will be amazed at how BIG Newfoundland is...takes a fair amount of time from Port aux Basques to St John's...

Your pictures are really nice! I can't wait to see all of them when you return. What's the plan for next few days?
