Unless I cut the hood off...

Thinkin I'm going to use these as the wheels.
Get some stranded copper wire and pull out a couple of strands. Better than thread because to a certain extent you can shape it and it will stay that way. I did it a couple of times with some plastic models (obviously you'd need finer wire than I used) and it worked great.

Dont know that you can really call it a competition... A friend maybe 20 other people have a little facebook page they have build-offs in. I think maybe 4 other people entered the "competition". Its more of just an excuse to piddle time away on pointless projects.

The ST is operational, thats what matters. Still looks funny, but I am working on that slooowwwlly along with about 27 other projects.

Test fittin some wheels. Lower than it'll sit but you get the idea.

Axles. The curled wire in the back is about to become leave springs.

See?

Was gonna weld 'em but I wasn't sure if they were going to be the right height yet...

Little too high for my liking. Already started on a fix for that.

Started on the diffs.

Shot a quick primer coat so's I can start sanding and see how bad my body work is...

How it'll sit, might go just a tad lower still but this is looking pretty good.

Spent a few more minutes monkeyin around after school today. Did some wet sanding on the body to see how bad its going to be and started on some inner fenders for the front.

Painted a bit of the motor and glued in the the fenders after some trimming.

Also started shaping the diffs.

Made a distributor and spark plug wires out of a wire.

Made an air filter out of a thumbtack, did some "detail painting".

Might still make a little fuel pump and carb with a little fuel line but other than some paint for the transmission and maybe some silver dots for bolts, I think its good. Preeeettyyy dang small, as you may be able to tell from the other tack!!!

YL2?! What about the REAL Ford truck!? Or the bike trailer, or the 3D printer, or the '48 Dodge, or the....

Hi. My name is dorkpunch, and I have a problem.

Haven't had the time or desire to work on this the last couple days- school is getting close to finished and at the end of the day I just want to go home and take a nap on the couch. Staying after to tinker is just not on the agenda.
