Are there obvious signs that something's mechanically wrong with the motor that I can keep an eye out for when test riding?

Had 1995 RSL -rode 57, 000 miles - only had to replace master cylinder - could not be rebuilt. Aftermarket shocks, staintune pipe, aeroflow shield, sticky buns, and you have a nice sport tourer that handles well.
Just purchased 09 K1300 GT - hope it is as trouble free.
