All sounds good

Carson was just going through the ADV PUPPIES N HACKS & clicked in to see how the wet lands were doing. Neat to see the rides are continuing & w/ some new blood.

I sure do like the sound of a Trans-Fla. ADV route, that's my kinda riding!

Working on it. I think it's one of the things we took away from the first one, most of the big bikes struggled in several places, which takes some of the fun out of it. We had about a 50% attrition rate over the two days, and obviously there were different reasons, but many were just whipped (including myself), and that's way too much.

Fear not though ex-motocrossers, sand demons, and Wankers there should be enough bad side routes to keep you busy and entertained.

And therein lies the problem, you can't have it both ways, big bikes and small ones don't co-exist well especially in the sandbox, so routes will diverge like last time but go further (in mission) in each direction. It'll probably equate to there being a little more pavement and there's some fun and scenic stuff to work with, but that'll likely be offset by some extra mileage.

One idea was thinking of was the possibility of making it three days (two nights on the road), any feedback pros or cons on that would be appreciated.

Anyway, a few of us are pre-riding some of it tommorow, so we'll see how it goes. And as already mentioned, we'll be at the Salt Springs shopping center at 11:00 if anyone wants to tag along.

I'd like to tag along, can someone tell me the address for the Salt Springs shopping center? Is the shopping center the grocery store in Salt Springs?

The shopping center is about a half mile north of the grocery store on the other side of the road. We usually meet at the south end of the parking lot between the veggie stand and the ranger office.

Was that a long-ass day of riding or am I just getting old?

Thanks man, I did too.

Ditto! I'm feeling it today, but had a blast. Bill, thanks for the sand riding tutorial; "stand up, look out ahead, don't stare at the ground in front of your wheel"...repeat, as necessary.

Thanks to Mike and the rest of the gang for keeping an eye on me yesterday. All in all, a great reintroduction to the joys of dual sporting, after a 30 year hiatus.

Well, it was all good except for being a little warm at times, well worth it though, fun stuff.

Alex, if it was a 30 year hiatus or 30 minutes, no one would've known the difference.

I'll have to come back to this later but here's a preview...

Yes, but with the variation of terrain it was interesting all the way!

You rode that 650 like a champ Wait until you get a dirty bike, it changes everything

My camera was on the wrong setting, but I took a few decent shots.

If the Pig fits then anything will . I had to push the exit gate a little with my valve cover gaurds.

Dirty GSA

440 miles later, my victory dinner
