1983 Kawasaki GPZ 550 H1 7800 miles - $2200 (NW Denver)

http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/2261251461.html

Original untouched 1983 Kawasaki GPZ550H1 7800 miles,
Red, original cafe bodywork from the factory with digital gas gauge in the gauge cluster.
New battery, excellent tires, recent tune up with carbs gone through and sync'd, new plugs,
inspected and test ridden by certified tech, ready to ride across country, needs nothing in my opinion.
Call/text Marc at 303-886-2631, no emails-too much spam, don't bother
offering money until you see the bike, must have Motorcycle endorsed
Driver's License and cash deposit to drive. Firm on the price, do not need to
sell, when is the last time you saw one of these with this low of miles in this
condition other than in someone's collection? Better pics coming in the next
day with digital SLR instead of iphone

If anyone wants one of these as a project I gave one to my brother a couple of years ago and I think he is ready to regift it. It runs and is complete but has not been riden for years. I would have to double check with him. He may want beer. It is in the Salt Lake area.

The 84 has an updated suspension, but the 82-83 is slightly lower and more comfortable. Maybe not the best for racing, but we used them as sport tourers, packing the bikes and taking several day journeys to SW Colorado and northern New Mexico. Great trips. It always annoyed me that her used bike ran better than my new one, and that with new tires she outran me going up Sandia Peak.

I rode a Ninja 600 back-to-back at Second Creek Raceway, and the Ninja was so much more responsive - it seemed to respond to thought inputs. But the cramped riding position was too much. The GPz is stone age technology compared to modern bikes, but it was a really good, fun bike.

I paid $2400 for my brand new '84 in 1984, and $1200 for that used '82 in 1986.

I don't have a bucket list, I have a post-bucket list. So far it includes
1) Coroner's report is to read "Death by misadventure."
2) Dixieland jazz band at my funeral.

Sometimes when a long-time addict claims to be on the wagon, we all KNOW its BS. Some of 'em are just incurable.

1971 Norton Commando 750 - $5500 (Denver )

http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/2267057609.html

For sale is a 1971 Norton Commando 750. I bought this bike 2 years ago and it's previous owner was a lady who had it stored for many years as part of a family estate. I have kept it garaged since I have owned it except when riding it! It has 12,633 miles on it and runs and looks great. Very fast.

Some modifications have been made but I have kept all the stock parts.

_removed front fender but it is in great condition
_removed read tail light assembly and replaced with custom tail light off of a Model A Ford and custom license plate mount
_rewired entire bike and installed electronic ignition
_new tach cable
_new grips
_stock Amal carbs cleaned and air filters replaced with cone filters
_removed all signals

Has all original paint including the STEEL TANK and only a few nicks or scapes. For stock paint it is pretty nice.
Rubber is about 70%
Perfect stock seat.
Went through the brakes this summer and they have lots of life left plus I have new pads for when the times comes.

Starts on the 1st or 2nd kick as long as it hasn't been sitting cold for a long time.

What it needs : very little...

Needs a kill switch. Will not shut off with the key for some reason. This is an easy fix that I never got around to.

Side kickstand needs work or replacing. I have been using the center stand.

There are a couple scrapes ( one on speedo and one on hand tightener for the seat ) from where somebody must have dropped it but they are very minimal and no other damage was done.

That's it! This bike is great and I hate to part with it but I need the cash.
