you could take the hinged ramp off and put a couple of $60 metal rails down that hang off the back a wee bit.

Or a couple of 2x12's bolted down, 8 ft long.

Might be a good deal. None of the parts are too expensive.

However.... It's a street version without a title. That could turn into a major headache.

Yeah, if it wasn't stolen and then someone went through the hassle of getting a title...it might be with it. What is that...a 1500 dollar bike...tops?

1986 Winnebago Itasca 22 foot Class A Motor Home

PRICE: $3,000 or best offer - It won't last long at this price

Good Condition. 90,000 miles. 454 Chevrolet engine. Fiberglass body with metal roof. Tires have less than 10,000 miles on them. Larger roof A/C. Full size rear Posturepedic bed. Shower and rear bathroom. 4 burner stove with range. Apartment size refrigerator that runs on AC/DC or propane. Dinette converts to a bed. All the windows and glass are in great shape. 4.0 Onan generator runs great. It has a trailer hitch and receiver an has good towing capacity. The Itasca is the top of the line within the Winnebago brand. The cabinets are solid oak and beautiful. Has a wardrobe closet with drawers. Lots of storage throughout.

I have owned this Motor Home for 4 years and driven it about 5,000 miles throughout Utah, Colorado and New Mexico.

Only issues I have ever had with this unit:

The propane furnace will run down the batteries if run on 12 volt over night, might need to replace the furnace motor.

The house batteries might need to be changed out. I haven't charged them yet this year. The truck battery was just replaced.

It is a trait of these unit to be subject to a vapor lock of the fuel system. I have had the fuel lines re-routed to lessen the chance of this occurring. It has only happened to me a couple of times and was easily corrected.

A window seal near the bed might need to be re-sealed or caulked.

Occasionally when running on propane the refrigerator pilot will go out. This has never been a huge problem as I just re-light the pilot. The refrigerator stays really cool and works great.

I am not sure of the condition of the dash A/C. I have always run the generator when needing cooling and then run the overhead air conditioning to cool the entire unit.

Conclusion: This is a great smaller motor home with a larger engine. I have gotten up to 14 MPG under ideal conditions. Average mileage is nearer to 10 MPG. I have boon docked with this unit for more than a month at a time with great success.

I will include a flat screen Tv, DvD player and most of the stuff you'll need for start-up

The reason for selling is we just bought a truck and travel trailer.

The unit is located in the El Dorado / Santa Fe area and is available for inspection and test drives.

Copy and past this link for more images of the motor home - http://ratman.smugmug.com/Travel/RV-...806569_WHq8DL#!i=663102090&k=q9DDs

Thanks for considering my motor home - Michael

Is his ad current? I phoned Rat when I was in Chamas a few months ago and he said the RV was sold.

THAT is one good looking YDS-3, those are not easy to find in that shape. I had the same vintage Suzuki TC250 X6 Hustler in high school, but I liked the Catalina styling more.

Dang....just when I'm putting the ST1300 money to good use this comes along.
Thanks a bunch, Ben
