Bullet...

The taillight never fell off on mine. ;) The chainguard did break from vibration. The guy who bought it had the centerstand mount break on the frame. The kill switch went bad and stranded me one time. A good samaritan gave me a ride home. Both of the Indian-made inner tubes blew out for no apparent reason. I had to ride home from Hygiene with a front flat. The rear left me stranded at the office. I caught the last bus home, left the bike in the parking lot overnight, and came back with the trailer the next morning. It was still there.

Mine smoked and burned oil. Valve guides I think. And it leaked a lot. Getting one of these things to be oil tight would be quite a challenge!

It was a cute little bike though, with a lot of "character". I really liked it in spite of the troubles.

Will somebody just go buy the thing already so I don't have to?

I talked to the guy with the Enfield today and he seemed like a good kid.

I did not have it in me to make him an offer as I thought he might be upset.

If he happens to call me back I might go $1K for a project.

That and he said it will run 60 to 70 down the road all day long. Big red flag for me.

Well, 60 indicated is about 54 actual. That's probably ok. I used to do that on the runs to/from Boulder. 70 might be pushing your luck...

2005 DR650 only 1700 miles in Santa Fe. $3500

Looks like a pretty good deal. Would definitely be looking if I did not already have one.

Not a bike...

But I want it... So someone else buy it. I am sure they will have no trouble selling it.

1996 Toyota Camry, LE. Automatic transmission, A/C, Cruiose Control, Power Windows & Locks, Wood Trim Dash, New Tires, Timing Belt has just been changed, Radiator Has Been Flushed. Never missed an oil change ( every 3k miles). We purchased this car from an elderly neighbor 5 years ago. Its had just turned 15K miles, and was AS NEW. My son drove the car thru college. Now he can afford a newer car so were selling this gem. This car is still in great condition and is a great buy for another college student or someone who needs a very dependable car. Non Smoker. The car is in excellent condition and will not leave you on the side of the road. It was very well cared for and never missed a service. Seats are like new, dash is like new, carpet is like new, and everything works.

Craigslist makes me laugh.

2007 Ural Patrol for $8K

I paid $8K for a brand new patrol in 2007, and it did not even have huge miles on it.

You actually want a Toyota Camry?? Good luck trying to find one these days. Of the 1,388,460,000 they built, only 1,372,290,000 are still on the road.

What is a good program to monitor new craigslist postings with a computer? I am not using a smart phone..so need it to send me an email when an eligible listing comes up. I figured the clist watchers here might know.

I don't think anything can beat manual search using Search Tempest, but setting up RSS feeds for individual searches/cities is the second best option.
