VFR: What do you guys think?? Buy it? 0000 pics added

going to look tomorrow and possibly pulling the trigger. Would like some encouragement or some "tell me to not do it"

2002 HONDA VFR800 INTERCEPTOR - Excellent condition, super low mileage (only 2,250 miles), Great upgrades - Corbin Seat, Tank Protector/Bra, Two Bros Exhaust, PC3 Power Commander, handlebar anti-vibration weights, new battery. Stock seat and exhaust included, upgrades installed.

$4200 Firm.

i can't seem to get the pics of the bike to load but we sorta know what it looks like, if the bike pics are super important i'll figure it out but they are nice. In the mean time see below...

is the mileage an issue...bike sat for a year or two, more or less, not even main't rides. but was tuned up recently, new battery and all is ship shape.

what do you guys think? i want to be confident in my spending.

Looks like a pretty good deal. Not great but pretty good. I would check to see if the wire harness recall has been completed. That is a biggie and even when it has been completed the R/R and stator can still be suspect. Otherwise, go with your gut. It's a great bike.

If it's a recall, it shouldn't cost anything I would think? It'd be good to know if it's been done, but you would be able to take it in and have it done yourself as well. /assumption

VFR is a fantastic ride. As with any new-to-you bike, take it to a good mechanic and have him/her go over it, tune up, etc. Any time you're buying from an individual (not a bad idea from a dealer either), pay a third party to go over it before committing. I found out the Mustang I was looking at had a leaky seal on the rear diff. Didn't stop me from buying it, but let me know I had to fix that (and gave me some negotiating power).

for 2250 miles this thing would have had to have sit for an excessively extended period of time. I'm probably going to pass. Plus after all my research i'm thinking i'll be sticking with the whine of the 5 gen.
