Toledo, Ohio to Albany, NY?

Looking for some back road route suggestions - want to avoid the Superslab, will also be on my road bike, so no gravel this trip.

Thanks in advance -

Following along US 6 or US 20 is a good place to start. 20 runs up the lake then shoots east across NY straight to Albany. 6 breaks away from the lake around Cleveland then runs straight through PA, then you'd need to turn north around NYC.

Once you get to Buffalo you can take 104 to 3, which will take you all the way through the Adirondacks. Once you hit Saranac Lake take 73 to 9N brings you right down to Albany with maybe 30 miles on I-87.

There are a ton of very cool smaller detours with tons of twists (Tracy road between 73 and 9), check out the Northeast regional forums for ideas.

Have fun!
