No rear window and no rear mirror. They are not needed. As a test they would have you sit in the car and adjust the two outside mirrors and walk up to the rear of the car starting from 20 feet back saying can you see me until they actually pushed the car because they were that close and you could still see them.

One of those small back up cameras with a 5" screen would cover any blind spots directly behind the vehicle and allow the mirrors to be directed further out. how much room would you say there is between the rear of the front seat to the back of the vehicle? Is it possible to lay down inside?
I am already planning my first nap. I sleep in every vehicle I own...until then I don't feel it is mine.

They are talking about adding a mirror on the inside but more for mom to keep an eye on the kid in the back.

It is very possible to sleep in there. One guy at the MPLS stop brought a tape measure to make sure of it.

Think about it, Where would you put that mirror, and if you found a spot, how would you see past the passenger. Same reason my motorcycle does not have a central rear view mirror. A rear view camera or periscope is the only option.

I am going to put down a $100 deposit later today. My goldwing cost 3x the price of this "thing" and the GW gets less then half the MPG and my pickup gets 5X less mpg! argh!

But you dont put your motorcycle in reverse and back into a parking space or garage using only your side mirrors.

I have to admit I dont judge backing distances well at all just using my side mirrors, I turn and look back.

I see the issue with mirror placement, but still would think the rear blind spot would bother me.

I'm definitely intrigued. As someone who commutes about 90mi roundtrip a day, this could be pretty awesome. I wouldn't sell my other cars, just add this to the fleet as my commuter.

I think the price is doable. Look at what you can buy a Tata Nano for in India. It debuted at $1800, and now retails for a hair over $2k three years later. I suspect we'll see an Indian or SE Asian powerplant in this auto, with only assembly happening stateside.

Oh no! I hope it is not a Ural engine! I'm out!
Going to look at placing a $100 deposit on one right now. wish me luck.

I guess I will be waiting a while to see how this plays out.

Still waiting on a answer to my question regarding availability of a new one liter motorcycle for $6800 retail. This trike is much more costly to build than a two wheel motorcycle. Think about it?

100,
I see you did read the terms and conditions of the $100 deposit?

"This Agreement does not constitute an agreement for the sale of a vehicle and does not lock in pricing, a production slot, or an estimated delivery date."

You are buying a t shirt.
