Sounds like a bargain, actually too much so. What would you do with it?? Parts have to be unobtainium I'd think. Not really track bike material. Vintage racing?? Artwork??

sounds far, far, far too cheap.

If it's a genuine race bike it's likely to be nearer 70000...

I'm not familiar with the 250cc race MVs of the era but it looks to me like a converted road MV, in which case it might be a reasonable price.

Edit, I've just had a quick look through MV Agusta by Patrignani & Colombo and I'm certain it's not a race bike. I'd guess that, if it is genuinely a '56 MV, then it's a converted 250 Raid. I'd be very careful about this, check out exactly what it is (frame number, engine number, as much history as you can get...).

Any pictures of the engine, or of the bike with the fairing removed?

I think he's saying it's fitted to be a race bike now...not that it had a race pedigree in the past.

It's certainly pretty - I'd love to see better pictures & hear more about it.

I suspect that the British MV owners club magazine would be love to have a picture or 2 of it to feature in a future issue - even if it's not a factory race bike it's good to see what people have done with them.

On the spares front, it's worth mentioning that the MV Agusta Owners Club (GB) have a good stock of parts for old MVs. Other places to try for parts would Albert Bold in the US & Phil Hitchcock at Road & Race in Australia.
