Spring 2013 RedNEK Rendezvous Big Bike Tracks

I posted some of these tracks elsewhere, but I was asked to place them directly on the forum. Included in the file are three basic routes in Vermont, New Hampshire, and a tiny bit of Maine.

These are, as said above, the routes for the RedNEK Rendezvous this spring.

The basic variations are:

1: The Vanilla loop. Nice. Mostly gravel and decent logging roads which can be ridden on just about any dual-sport with appropriate tires, so long as it's reasonably dry. There are some very scenic paved sections, and stunning views. Approx 191 miles.

2: The Mo' Gravel extension. This eliminates a big section of pavement, and cuts the overall mileage by a bit. There are class 6 sections, and some mud, A little more finesse is needed. Overall, the route is less scenic than option 1 (more woods, fewer views,) but the caliber of riding is higher.

3: The Drool of the Beast: A ten-mile tech section that is pretty feisty, especially if it's been wet. A combo of logging roads and ATV trails. Some steep rocky portions. This is work at the end of the day on a lighter bike, or any time on a heavy one.

This is a smaller loop (116 miles) with some hero sections. Good DRZ terrain. It is designed to be run counter-clockwise.

No GPS here but I looked at it in Google Earth.

Anyone with a GPS thinking of running this route?

Small Bike Loop for Fall 2013

Not worth starting a new thread for this. This is a revised route to avoid a gate that wasn't locked in the spring.
