Got the Prostand set up. Have changed 6 tires so far, it works well. Should pay for itself soon enough. Still hate changing tires though.

I have called, waited on hold for 15 minutes, and opened a case with USPS. Reference number is CA114375257. I was told "They will contact you within 1 business day"

Chill yourself. Your beef is with the post office, not me.

Harold,

I just spent another 35 minutes on the phone with USPS "Customer Service" trying to get to the bottom of this. They said the case I opened was closed because the package was never recieved by the post office. I explained it was picked up from my house along with 19 other boxes that same day that all arrived without issue at their destination. I gave them a tracking number of a box from the shipment for comparison. They have no record of the package ever being picked up, but obviously it was.

New case number is CA114460508. I should hear from them within 2 days.

If I had another tool here of my own I would send it to you, but I didn't even keep one for myself.

I don't appreciate you opening a PayPal dispute and attempting to take the money back. I paid for your tool. I paid for a shipping label. I boxed and shipped it. Taking the money back is just a slap in the face. Thankfully they denied it because too much time has passed. Not only have I organized this whole group buy for no personal gain, but I've spent an extensive amount of time trying to resolve this. That's my personal time I don't get back trying to get to the bottom of a mistake I didn't make.

I also don't appreciate you airing out this issue in the public thread as an attack on my credibility. This can and should be discussed over PM, but instead you've chosen to post in the thread. That's not necessary, and causes it to seem to others that I have intentionally done you wrong. Not the case.

I understand your frustration having not received your tool, but as I've said, your issue is with USPS, not me. Yell at them, demand answers. Refer to the case number and label number. I don't have answers or the ability to do anything at all - they do.

I will continue to do what I can, but some gratitude would go a long way.

Evan

I thought I'd throw up a brief review of the tool. Last night I installed two tires and the experience was good.

I bought the basic unit with 20mm and 25mm adapters. The 20mm fit the rear wheel of my KTM 300 XCW and the 25mm fit the front.

The first tire I installed was a trials tire on the rear. This tire is for a tubeless rim, but I'm using a tube. The tire has a very soft bead compared to a typical knobby. Two things I discovered. 1. Use the tool on the brake disc side and not the sprocket side. The outer edge of my rear sprocket interfered with the tool at full reach. If the rim has a removable sprocket/cush drive. I'd remove it and work from the sprocket side. 2. If your tire has a soft bead, take small bites and use soapy water of some type of lube on the bead.

The front tire installation went even smoother after the experience I gained from the rear.

For both tires I used this Tusk tire tool.

I've successfully changed many tires in the past with simple tire irons, and the Kaurit tool makes the job even easier. The overall process of installing a new tire takes about the same amount of time and the risk of bloody knuckles is greatly reduced.

I have two 17" street tires to install in the near future.
