Think I like it without all the plastic bits, but I would like the flyscreen and hand guards, which the aftermarket will probably make some nice additions for .

I won't bother speculating on the MT-09 SR until I know an FZ-09 SR will come stateside...except to say that according the Yamaha's EU website, the SR is just an 09 with some extra small parts, mostly plastic

Who ever said, "I don't want a supermotard bike but I want the look of one on my naked street bike"...?

Besides all the little plastic bits and hand guards, it has a taller seat and dirt bike (sharp) pegs. I would definitely want the taller, flatter seat!

It's been working for the manufacturers with sport and supersport bikes. Perfect example, Repsol Honda look alikes. True supermotos aren't very practical on the road, but I'll bet that an FZ/MT look alike will sell to those who like the look.

Just check out supermotojunkie.com...

Sounds like new suspension bits and perhaps a steering damper are mandatory items for those who ride aggressively. Ya got plans?

Regards, Paul
I will definitely do a damper of some sort. My buddy just added a damper to his Z1000 and has said it was the best mod on any bike (street or dirt) he's ever done. In the forums people are talking about doing fork swaps but I think I'll likely upgrade/change out the rear shock and do a damper and the FZ9 should be awesome. I figure if I put in another $1k (eventually) in suspension it is going to be a heck of a ride :).

The added plastic bits look like cobbled together horseshit.

Well, it does mention "special chassis components", "radical cornering" and the fact that the "special parts mean that you can even run harder and faster". I doubt just plastic would help that bash.
