FWIW, When I had a Duke 690, it came with a small screen that did nothing for wind shift or protection
Ironically, the Duke 690 screen was a great addition to my 950SM. Below 85-90 MPH, it blocked a great amount of air off of my body. Only my helmet is exposed to a smooth clean air stream.

Do you still have the 950? I went to the dealer to buy a Super Duke R, but they wouldn't deal with me so I got the 690 instead. Probably should have paid the price for the R. Holding off on the FZ purchase until I see what else Yamaha does with the chassis and engine combo. Adventure or ST would be great...

The insurance on my FZ slots right in between my other bikes, as it ought to. Nothing extreme or out of the ordinary (But State Farm tends to go by cc's more than anything else.). I've had a few claims, so it's higher than it otherwise would be. I'm right at $700/year for full coverage in the Atlanta, GA area.

I need the vin# to add it to my policy . . . Fortunately, I get muliti-bike discount . . .
I hope y'all are better prepared for the storm than last time. That looked to be a real mess. See if the dealer will bring it to your house. Safer that way.

BTW, is your insurance Progressive? I get good rates with them, as I have been with them claim free for 10 years and also have multi-bike coverage discounts....

Then, into the garage and ripping it apart. Sending the ECU to Nick, www.stoltecmoto.com and ordering front springs at the same time. Already sourced a zx-10 shock for the rear and should have it this week as well.
Getting excited now!!!!!
Rode my bike a little in the sleet . . . Definitely will need a shield! It was a little snatchy until I tightened up the throttle cable . . . Got all the play out of it. Now it has a very smooth throttle response (std mode). Have not tried A or B mode. The big storm will hit tonight.

My forks and rear shock are plenty stiff for me . . . Would not want it firmer. Brakes are unbelievable!

This bike feels like my '06 KTM 625SMC . . . Very light and flickable. Definitely a fun ride.

Mine, too. Except it's way smoother, way faster, and way more powerful, w/a lower c.o.g. Does that qualify as feeling just like it? Very similar, but different.

Congrats. Love the red. I was stuck on it 'til I saw the orange. I would have been happy w/either. Enjoy.

I liked the racing stripe on the tank. First thing I did was remove the stupid warning sticker. I will have to find a clear tank guard . . . Don't want to cover up the stripe.

Yeh, the orange has the twin, disproporpionate stripes on the tank, as well. I'd just as soon they weren't there but it's a cool look.

Nice!

$107 is reasonable too. Seems most cool stuff is over $200 which is a rip off.

Are those tiny turn signals even functional??
