Build 2 GB data card to 276C, 478, etc

Some time ago somebody published an instruction "How To" regarding making a 2 GB data card to the older Garmin devices. But I can't find it. Help please!

Yes I know about that thread.

But I'm looking for an old thread describing how to do-it-yourself. This means mounting a $10 memory card into the Garmin holder.

Yeah, it's in here somewhere. It was probably 3 or 4 years ago now. Try a google search of the site.

Questor, they work. I ordered from Russia. Took two weeks to get here. Simple swap of the internal bits and good to go.

Yes you can. I did it a few times long ago. Don't remember what software I used. Mapupload maybe? Google is your friend in this case.
