Motorado Vintage Cycle Show Photos

Yesterday there was a vintage bike show near Santa Fe. It was a perfect day to stroll among vintage machinery. Here are some of my photos of the event.

Whoda thought one of these CX's could be made to look sexy.

I had an identical bike when I was in school for my Nursing degree and broke as a student can be. The bike, with milk cart for textbooks on the rear rack, never gave me any grief.

The famous CB400SS header pipes, pure artistry.

A water buffalo, also made sexy.

68 Black Bomber tank with beautifully done swirl marks. The photo doesn't nearly do them justice.

I have tons more photos that I'll post when I can.

If a mod wants to move the thread, so I don't need to start all over, that's OK with me.

A most excellent Ambassador.

This placard was on a number bikes. Marc must be a very popular wrench.

Seeing this one almost brought a tear to my eye. This is where is started for me in 1964.

An inmate, no?

A photo of the future, the charging port on the Brammo, and the bike that I personally found the most interesting.

The owner turned the key on. Lights lit up on the dash. He gently moved the throttle and the bike just moved off with very little sound. He said that with the six speed transmission he can smoke the tire. With normal riding he has about a 80 to 100 mile range, with hooligan riding, he said about 44 miles between charges.

I don't know how these folks got hooked up with a motorcycle show but I had enough sense to stay away from there. I think they did okay though.

This one wasn't in the show, but should have been, IMHO.

The New Mexico State Patrol has a precision riding team and a few of their guys showed up to put on a little show for us.

Practice was a little challenging what with cold tires and tar snakes and patches of dirt.

I'm sure these loaded C-14's weighed well over 700 pounds and once these guys got warmed up they were whipping around the small course.

Hate those tar snakes.

They changed into their uniforms and got down to business.

It was an impressive show and the crowd loved it. Afterwards, the two troopers stood around in their hot gear and answered questions from the audience.
Okay, that's all for my photos.
