Mobile Upload Question

I have a new smart phone it might be too smart for me because I am having a tough time trying to get pictures to this web site via mobile upload. What is the best way to share picture I take with my cell phone camera here?

You need to use a 3rd party hosting site for your pictures, and upload to them. Smugmug, Picasa, Photobucket, etc.

There's an in-depth thread starting here: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=919

I thought about that and have been messing with photobucket. I can't find a way to copy the link to paste in the forum using my windows phone. I was able to copy a link for the entire album but not single pictures or a selection of pictures .

For mobile access to ADV, I use Tapatalk, in my case the Android app version. With it, you can upload pictures directly from the phone to Tapatalk's free picture hosting while editing your post to the forum. Just click the camera icon, select the photo on your phone and it uploads automatically. The app then puts the photo location directly into your post. Very simple and it works well.

If there is a way to get rid of that it may be a good idea. People being able to chart your location via pictures is good way for someone to find out all sort of shit that you don't want people to know. I take pains to ensure that the geotags are out of the pics that I take with my phone for that reason.

You linked a thumbnail it seems.

There should be and image code link somewhere [/img] for example copy and paste that instead.

If you find the image code it will display as a pic and not a link, that was actually what I was getting at.

that last post was another test its pretty frustrating I can't share the picture directly so I'm sorry you will just have to make do with the link. I see the link to make the image but I am unable to copy it using the windows phone. I called tech support trying to figure it out which of course was a waste of time.

Go into your phone camera and disable geotagging if it worries you. Personally, I am not that paranoid. FWIW, I also do not blur out my license plate when I post a picture of my motorcycle.

I do.

I also wouldn't recommend keeping it on, ever.
