Too much riding? I don't understand this concept Are you speaking English?

H14 and CC,
Thanks for the tour! I've been wanting to get to Coalwood since I saw the movie. It's a great story.

Looking fwd to visiting with you tomorrow.

Jax the first step in sobriety is admitting you have a problem... bike odometer doesn't lie (unless broken or tampered with), the next Bikers Anonymous meeting is in Marshall VA on Sunday. I hope to see you there

There is no such thing as too much riding. And the fact that others follow us or we follow them just means we are going to fun places. Since we got home we learned that Dennis and crew went through Cumberland Gap tunnel only a day or two before us.

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and meeting your wife Jack.

She's been through twelve states from Tennessee to Maine in the last month and a half and wants to keep riding.

I guess I better keep her happy.

Jack, you want me to bring your cooler and air mattress tomorrow?

So you think your job is tough? Does it have a designated ambulance entrance?

Every mine we rode past had this. I can't imagine doing what these guys do every day. Just another reminder of how fortunate we are to get to do the things we enjoy. I hope I never get to the point I take it for granted.

We thought about you all. We had a long day and had to get to Lewisburg that evening to meet family. Would have loved to spent some time with you guys.

Where is 160, I don't remember it?

Mom, dad, three kids, and a dog that barked at everything that moved. The kids were just kids, not really out of control just a little loud. At first it was starting to get on my nerves but as I looked around their campsite and saw the tents, chairs, toys, pets, mom and dad hustling around trying to cook supper and keep an eye on the kids and telling a dog to shut up I thought to myself, crap that was us just a few short years ago. Watching that scene unfold I wondered if these parents as harried as they were at this point could even imagine looking back in a few years and wishing they could have made time stand still at this point.

Our night ends with the sound of a little boy giggling to no end, it was so sweet we couldn't help but giggle ourselves. Such a great moment of pure happiness mixed with a bit of sadness as it brings back to mind a time in our lives where the giggles of little kids was an everyday part of life. As iDave would say you have to live in the moment, and right now sitting by the fire with the one that helped create all those great memories is right where I want to be.
Great Report. This statement brought a lump to my throat. I'm that dad now, and so often I get frustrated because I think my kids are being too loud, or misbehaving when in reality, they are just being kids. Thank you for reminding me of that. I have so many places I want to explore, but I really don't like to be away from my family any more than I already am. I'm a firefighter and spend 24 hours at a time away. Your report says to me " In due time". Again, excellent write up.

Thanks Fireman.

From my perspective now that my kids are grown, I don't feel like the time I spent with my kids deprived me of a single thing, looking back now I regret not doing some things different so I could have spent more time with them. Too soon their little world expands and all the sudden mom and dad aren't the center of it anymore.

A friend of mine worked 24 on 48 off for Fairfax county fire department. It doesn't seem that long ago we went to his fire academy graduation. We went to his retirement party in October and his son graduated from the same fire academy. Enjoy the life you've been blessed with now, those place you want to explore aren't going anywhere. I truly believe if you spend time with them now they'll want to spend time with you later. Who knows you might end up with a riding partner that wants to go exploring with you.
