What trail in New Mexico

My father said he saw a documentary about a ride in NM that that crossed the Rockies. Sounds like somewhat of a maintained road with three or four stores along the way. An old pioneering road.

I asked him if it was the alpine loop in CO, but he was certain it was NM.

Any ideas?

Two that I can think of that might be in a documentary,
The TAT crosses into NM very briefly coming out of OK then turns north into CO and across to near Silverton then into UT.
Other possibility is the CDR or CDT that runs from the Mexican to the Canadian border--crossing both NM and CO north to south. Good luck with the search.
Don't make the mistake of believing everything you think.

I would second AKASY most likely the CDT. There is a lot of video coverage.
