Inherited Bikes

Thought I would start a thread to honor the great people that shared their love of riding and their bikes with us.
Here goes:

This was my dads 1998 BMW r1200c. He rode it to Alaska and back, through Canada, to the tip of Baja 3 times, and many places in between. I was lucky enough to take quite a few trips with him (RR on this: The Ride(er) that changed my life). At his memorial service I had friends, family, and riding buddies sign it. This will stay in my collection forever. I will post some more pictures when I have it back together.

Wow that was a great idea to have everyone sign the bike. You should look into having it clear coated somehow to preserve the writing and so you can still ride it.

Ya I had a guy look at putting a clear coat over the writing but he said it wouldn't turn out right because the paint needed to be prepped. That would ruin the writing. I still ride it though.
