Taking the Nordik....

Post pics of that loading I'd like to see if just for the memories of loading our bikes in Havre St-Pierre back in 87, that's as far as the road went back then. That's one pic I don't have.

I heard the food got much better over the years, even the crew was complaining back then. But sailors always complain....

Don't know if they are still around but I knew some of the officers from even before that sailing on other ships. We are probably all close to or already retired.....may be time for me to go back to Newfoundland that way.

Really enjoying your report. Thanks for taking us along, looking forward to more. I too have been having trouble with Smugmug, it's getting complicated. My lack of computer skills doesn't help either.

Yep- taking the Nordik on Wednesday. They're supposed ot have a new ship named "bella" but I was moved to the Nordik Express due to problems with the newer ship. Heard that they also now serve lobsters on board .

cheers...

THanks for chiming in. Tell me about lack of PC skills especially Smugmug or equivalent. They're so powerful and versatile but at my age .

cheers..

The Return... The many faces of Cite Quebec

Aye, I am back and hope for a while as connections are spotty or non existend.

The place I was staying at had such a fast WiFi that all posting simply blew past Smugmugs posting, then at this campground now ADVrider couldn't open the Forum! Technology, eh.

OK, back to Quebec which you haven't seen I mean the post here not your previous travels.

Dropped Emma our Dachshund off so that we could enjoy Quebec comfortably.

Route 138 > Sept Illes > Natasqhuan

This open car ferry took us across the Saguenay river at Tadoussac. Free ferry..acts like a floating road platform instead of building a bridge which would have obscured the Fijord like river entrance...

Route Isolee....

see you in Havre St. Piere..

cheers...

Enjoying your pics and congratulation on 37th years!

If it helps, ADV forum is realllly slow! I click on 'reply' and it takes forever to reach the reply page to post my reply. I wouldn't be surprise that adv and smugmug share same server.

Baldy, perhaps it is time to add Turbo into the server!

You found "Le Temporel".....

Not so hidden, I used to live on that street, sort of the other end on Hebert.Grocery store next door was my beer store. Both have been there for a long time.

Now I have to look up the "Bella" out of professional interest. And because we are in/around Bella Bella BC right now.

The Canadian brass was cool about our dog also on our Gaspe trip a few years back (in an '87 Vanagon Westy) and we had made sure we had all the paperwork straight beforehand since we were concerned about reentry into the U.S. with the dog, but U.S. Customs also ignored it. Hope your reentry goes as smoothly. Have a fun trip.
