I did. I tried importing another file that I had imported previously and it did the same thing.

I tried updating Basecamp and it says there are not any available updates. It is 4.2.1.

It is weird. It did not used to act in this way.

That is a bit strange. But, you can reinstall v4.2.1 just download it from here.

I found on the Garmin Basecamp forum where someone else had reported the same issue and the response was that they know about it and are working to fix the issue.

Hope this is the right place for this question. Just installed 4.2.1 on a windows machine. I use tracks, and previously I could select and open multiple tracks and the properties tab would read the total mileage of all selected tracks. With this version it only gives information (mileage, number of points) to one track at a time. Any ideas?

Cheers,
Dave

Maybe if you combine them first?

You mean join them into a single track? Could do that but I need to keep under 500 points per track for my 60CSX. So a full day's riding might consist of 3 or 4 tracks.

Cheers,
Dave

Select the Tracks you want the info for and then right-click and select OPEN. This will give you the info your are looking for.

That's how I did it previously, but in this version when I do that the window opens and tells me how many tracks I've selected, but the summary box under the properties tab just says zero points and zero distance.

However, if it works correctly on yours and other's then at least I know the feature is still there. Maybe a glitch with my install? I'll try reinstalling the program and see what happens.

Thanks much for the responses thus far.

Cheers,
Dave

Hmm how do you do it on the Mac, Get Info is greyed out and there's no Open selection.

Same here; until I 'Join' the track, I can't get those attributes. Once the tracks are all in one file it's easy to see the info.

I am also using the Mac version.

Currently, you don't. I know that this "enhanced" data view has been requested but it appears that it didn't make this release. How about going over to the Mac-BC Forum and making the request (again)

They just need to enable the Get Info for this same info:

It's fairly easy to get the information on the tracks by 'Joining' them, checking the information, the undoing the 'Join' through Edit, Undo.

Yes, it is a little cumbersome but it works.

This has got to be simple, but I give up easily...

In Trip Planner, how do I set my "Home" to where I actually live
and start my trips from??

Well, it works if you don't want valid milage and other data for your collective Tracks that may not be nose to tail.

(We don't want to give Garmin an easy way out - that still doesn't meet requirements.)
