This one made me smile. After growing up in the SF area and moving to Tahoe... I agree. 100%.

Everything in the middle of the U.S. in summer time. Hot and humid and buggy. Oh, and then there are the tornadoes. Any large city, with the possible exception of San Francisco and Seattle. Interstates, unless you are in a big ol' hurry. Certain hollars in Appalachia. See the movie Deliverance for details.

Anywhere there is uptight and annoying assholes. This almost always seems to be in large metropolitan areas.

Any metropolitan city and any area that borders an ocean, Gulf of Mexico, or another country. I stick to the interior of the U.S. of A. Interstates are fine with me for expedient travel from point A to Point B. I thank Ike for his vision every day.

I recently had to ride on 95 in FL. It still gives me shivers.

Avoid at all costs...........
Any town with a population over 2,000 people.
Of course all interstates and major highways.
Any restaurant that you've heard the name of before.
Any state or National Park during peak visiting days-----wait till the kiddies have all gone back to school and their parents are not on vacation and have gone back to work and are not on your roads or in your places of enjoyment.
Also visiting these places during shitty or cold weather usually works.
Motels with inside doors--------my personal pet peeve.
Always try to go between the big roads---and towns.
KOA's---------the death of camping.
Towns big enough to have a stop light.
All restaurants that don't begin with "Cafe"----or "Moms"----or "Grandma's"---or "Country"
Campgrounds with "hookups"------or "pull thrus".
Don't go anywhere when it's real hot-----for one thing it's hot----and 2nd, all those bikes with no mufflers are everywhere annoying the hell ought of everybody----they will disappear when it gets below 75°.

I'm thinkin'-------------I've got lots more.

If your bike weighs more than 400lbs. You might not make it.

I say go everywhere and experience it all...freeways, cities, deserted roads, etc, etc, etc.

Go everywhere.

Except Florida. That's where bad people go when they die.

Go wherever you want, because if you make a mistake you will know, and probably wont do that again, it's all in the adventure.

FUCK 'EM!

California doesn't have fat chicks except in Fresno and Bakersfield. But we do have some assholes, but they're not gun-toting assholes.

And tons of road cyclists. We love them here.
