Un-American?

In addition to any metropolitan area and toll roads, I avoid McDonald's at all costs.

I suppose that makes me un-American or something.

I Avoid...

...anywhere east of I-25 or south of I-40.

In addition to large cities - popular National Parks (in the South 48, that is. When I cross the road in front of my house I'm in the largest - Wrangell-St Elias), and twisties in deer country at night.

Also avoid camping along salmon streams when I see bear tracks or poop, or on a road or trail that is too rough or muddy for me to outrun a grizzly.

How about airports?

Charles DeGaule (CDG) International Airport, France, would be my NUMBER ONE!
Those people lose my baggage EVERY firkin time I simply pass through.

And coming in second has to be Chicago O'Hare.
Why does every connection include a passage through the tunnel of lights and weird sounds? What they say about Chicago is doubly true for O'Hare, in that there are just two seasons: Winter and Construction.

Skip the Midwest-- especially Indiana-- pretty much flat all over

Just my POV-- parts of the midwest are gorgeous-- but many others are just not. Take Indiana-- it's cornfield after cornfield-- might be worth skipping that state :)

Just wondered amongst other things if you avoid certain places, for example cities towns or even whole countries?

Also why do you?

Many thanks

In all my travels, I've never visited an angrier, more depressing town than Browning Mt. Went through once and thought maybe it was my imagination. Cruised thru a second time and results were the same.

What is it about Browning?

I agree and have said so to other riders. Just get your gas and get out. Bad vibes.
