If you want any route suggestions let me know. Now what to avoid, West Texas, but there are actually a few interesting spots even there.

Will do. Thanks. Still in the early route planning stages. As soon as I have something a little more interesting I will create a thread in the Trip Planning forum.

I-75 (I-95 doesn't bother me in the south - see next on list)
The north eastern US. - everything from Maryland north, with the exception of Western PA
Atlanta
States that don't allow CCW/reciprocity
northern Illinois

I don't mind interstates or Kansas. StL is fine with me, but I'm a Cards/Blues fan. I just try to get through East StL, Ill quick.

All of New England, and anywhere else large groups of Yankees have gathered. For all that matter, it's usually more pleasant to avoid single Yankees as well.

Wondered why when I first read this. Now I see you're from Texas. I get it now.

Suburban shopping area blvds - distracted left-turners, off-duty sales clerks on the cell, and the rest annoyed by stop lights. E.g.: Pa. rt 611 from Stroudsburg to Toby.

I avoid cities with a population over 50,000 and all bars after dark.

I avoid riding in Massachusetts. Drivers in that state do not have a good reputation in northern New England.

It's said that in Massachusetts driving is a contact sport :-)
