trip 13 death valley airhead meet XXI

2/13/14 - 1/16/14 400 miles

let chico around 7:00pm thursday night and made it to terra bella around 1:00 am friday morning.


left terra bella around 8:00am and made it 40 miles when my transmission let go of 3rd, 2nd, and 5th. i was able to get it back to terra bella under its own power. while there i was able to arrange transportation for the bike to get it back north and i fixed my moms truck which had a vacuum pump failure.


i was able to get out to death valley with the help of my grandmas honda civic

ready to get the rig home.

all in all what a good trip. looking forward to next year.

Great build so far! Looks amazing!

Makes me regret not being able to pick up a 70's BMW R90S that was being converted into a GS adventure bike for with a rebuilt engine and all, just didn't look too pretty. He was asking $900 and it seemed like a great deal! We can't buy them all though...

I was able to source a trans while at the Death Valley Airhead meet. I have to give a huge shout out to Dave Nelson who set me up with a great deal. The new to me transmission will be arriving on Tuesday and will be installed on Friday.
