I'm hoping we can get some central WA guys to chime in and we can organize some group rides that don't require crossing borders or state lines. I've been in Grant County for about 6 years now and most of the guys here only ride the Dunes or the street. I like to get out to the hills and play in the trees now and then, sometimes just banging around on local trails in the dust and sagebrush. More local guys may know of other spots new to me etc... I used to have a R1150GS but ditched it and just have the XR650R plated. I like to get into more gnarly stuff than the GS could handle but don't care for hanging on cliff sidecuts with my bike either. Well, not all the time anyway!

I'm an average rider on a Dakar with decent local knowledge. I might be up for some riding around with you flatlanders.

I'm a decent rider on a xr650L with decent local knowledge of north central wa. I live near Tonasket. I'd be interested in something like that.

Have you tried the green dots up on the clockum? Perfect for the 650r you have. Lots of great riding north, south or west of us here in Cashmere.

Average rider, xr650l, in central Washington, I'd be up for a good ride in the area ...especially if a cold beer was involved afterwards

You've done rides without beer afterwards? Is that possible?

Ha, how about August 3rd or 4th? Day trip to where ever you want to go. Chances are I've been there and if not I can navigate to it. We can meet where ever works the best. No excuses!

I'd certainly like to see more of Okanogan County.

August 2nd a gaggle of us are heading down the WABDR.

I live above a lake and my yard has room for tents. There is also a resort about 200 yards from my front door with camping spots and rooms for rent.

We could set up a good weekend of riding and have a get together.

North central WA

I'd be up for a north central all day ride on the 3rd or 4th. Can't do the multi-day thing at this time. I haven't hit too much north of Wenatchee WABDR-wise either. Probably anywhere will be something new anyway other than Wiskey Dick/Vantage Green dots, I've covered them pretty well. :)

Still haven't seen any snakes around here, that'd be cool....

I'll be on the trail during that time. Maybe we could do a group ride later in august or early september?

later meetup

Sounds good for another ride later.

Plans for the 3rd or 4th (still undecided, probably the 3rd) are to head for the area around Conconully. Never been there, but looking at the map looks like lots of NF roads and maybe some trails? Any locals know a better area north of M.L. that isn't burning yet?

Wicked

If you want to see some rattle snakes and your going to be north of Conconully, you're in luck.

The gravel road that goes through the Sinlahekin game farm has quite a few snakes come out on it to warm up around sundown. Same story with the lower portion of the paved road that goes up toats coulee (north of Loomis).

Shoot me a PM for details.
