Just north of Vantage is the Wild Horses Wind Farm owned and run by Puget Sound Energy. There is a great indoor visitor center at the summit with 360 degree view for miles. Nice stopping point to refill the Camelback and hit the can before continuing north towards WBCDR etc. The Whiskey Dick Wildlife area (Green dot roads) just past there has some great roads for Dual Sports and smaller ADV bikes, lots of loose rock, be warned. :)

A reminder that the lower Whiskey Dick Green Dot roads are closed till April 30th.

So DIONBILT......I see container and hay trailers with your name on them. Is it safe to assume a connection?

Yes, family business. Thanks for the heads up on the green dot roads. Been looking at that area since last year after we did the WABDR. I think I make some tracks that can get me to Wenatchee from Vantage. With some winding back and forth.

I know that whole area very well if you have questions. The recent snow likely means it will be June before the upper roads become passable.

Hey thanks, yeah I was thinking the same thing on the snow and getting over to Wenatchee. We are looking at doing a shake down run for our OBCDR trip. I'm thinking that area would be great. Maybe I PM you for a little info

Yeah, fun area to ride. LOTS of rock, so keep your tire pressures up. Lot of it is loose shale too, and parts of it are challenging. Great scenery though. I live in Cashmere and used to bowhunt elk up there, so I've been around and through it a lot.
