XKE 68 series 1.5.

In fact it was being delivered. I'm very surprised at this car. the simplicity and its been very reliable.

The webers is to replace the stupid Califormia emission compliance! Which made J install 2 carbs instead of the English 3 carbs.

The one saying I can agree with is: " if it doesn't leak oil it's only because its empty"

I had those on my 510's, so nice. One of the formative memories of my early driving years was listening to those roar... I can still hear them to this day, a sound you never forget.

Taught me to appreciate the sound of the intake over the exhaust.

You may be correct, I don't know about banned.
But in fact the E type headlight covers were only used on series 1 and some series 1.5.

According to the VIN, my car didn't come from factory with the covers.... But i like how they look. There are some manufacturers that still offering the kit.

I pick the car today .... Couldn't stop smiling! The intake sound is so amazing!
It even burn some Tyre from 3rd to 4th

Still, this car has an amazing exhaust note!

I meant as OEM equipment. These days I doubt if the DOT is going to chase you down for them.

For a while I was thinking about doing that to my GT6....but I really don't drive the car anymore....I should sell it...has not moved in 3 years....I do have side drafts on a custom man on the race opel....street opel has a 32/36.

Nice E....it is the right series as well.
