Interested?
Very interested, but I'm shooting for Duval III on the KLR this weekend. I think I'll keep the wee-strom off gravel -- at least chasing the likes you (insert cartoon icon of a neon yellow and blue blur flying over forest roads) -- until I can upgrade the stock tires to something that'll inspire more confidence.

I'll be riding my KLR on this one. GS's should be able to handle most of it. Might need an assist here or there, but we'll avoid the really hairy stuff. You'll definitely see a side of Duvall/Stossel that you probably haven't seen before.

I'm there. I spent yesterday ripping off my Happy-Trail side racks and repositioning my KLR's muffler. Turns out the combination of Happy Trails SU racks with a Laser Pro Duro muffler and Dunlop 606's isn't compatible on the KLR. With the racks on you have to mount the muffler towards the inside of the bike where the knobbies easily hit it. It was a pain this weekend riding with camping gear on the TT GPS Ride -- any slight bump would cause a muffler strike.

I love the tires, I love the muffler, I love the rack. Too bad they don't all work together. Looks like I'll be selling the rack -- or heck, maybe everything. Gotta stop reading posts about the DRZ as "Adventure Tourer-lite".

Yea I picked that up the first time around I just thought I would use a little humor for some of us that are a little slower than others, but there would not be any of those hanging out here right

If you're refering to "the wall", IIRC 3 GS's made it to the top: spowers, gentry & Grey Matter (with a severly smoked clutch).

Course the first big bike up (right behind Dave) was a blue wee-Strom. Wonder who that coulda been...

No walls this time (though maybe one widow-maker). Some atv stuff, one section of tight single-track, a bunch of loose gravel, might hear banjo music wafting through the woods playing the theme song of Deliverance... just don't get off the bike!!
