I did not realize FIU no longer had a football program.

Y'all better keep an eye on Northern Illinois University. Last week they upset University of Iowa on the road on a last second field goal. Coming from behind and beating any Big Ten team on the road is a big accomplishment, especially for a school with a fraction of Iowa's enrollment. NIU quarterback Jordan Lynch is a Heisman candidate.

I now return you to your discussion of overrated football teams in the SEC.

Yeah, I'm sure Northern Illinois and Jordan Lynch would be a real powerhouse in the SEC.

A few of us out here are very very glad to hear from any non "SEC" fans. Hell we even appreciate fans of SEC schools who don't tie their personal fortunes to their supposed rivals..

Listen, y'all... You have conference rivalries, but you want your conference to do well, overall. Thus, you want your team to beat a same-conference rival but want that rival to win when playing non-conference games. This seems logical to me but is a foreign concept to non-SEC folks, and I'm not sure why?

Yeah, they would fit right in with Mizzu and Kentucky in the SEC.
