Vespa wet road drifting

Even if you think you've got your tyre choice and riding technique sorted for safe scootering in the wet, there's always someone who has to go one step further.......

Sounds like a seriously well tuned Vespa.....it's wheelspinnig up the hill.

I thought sure that rear tire was going to catch and toss the guy head first into the rock wall.

Seriously tuned Vespa- sounded more like a dirt bike than a scooter.

The guy must be young and dumb as a fence post .
I know I'm an old crumudgeon , but doing that stuff on the public road is just plain nuts. Why not do it in a more controlled environment , so that when you crash ( and you know he has ) someone is there to pick up the pieces.

All that energy wasted on youth

Must be a flat track racer. No big deal for them.

I have ridden with a few guys who could slide their bikes around curves at will.....off road. I'm sure the skills to do it on a wet road are similar. He didn't look like he was going all that fast and seemed to have it under control. If I had the skill and was a bit younger, I'd probably be doing the same thing.

Actually, this guy has set the standard for all you young guys who are getting a Grom. Who will be the first to do it and make a video?

Oh yes, he's got skills. But, skilled or not, he's still a jerk. Around one of those corners is a raccoon in the road, or a Prius driver admiring a butterfly that just splattered on his windshield. And our skilled rider is another greasy spot on that stone wall.
