Both racks are now done. Just need a paint and polish.

Only one barbie plate ... decided that the one on the bike will not be fitted so I'm hoping you didn't bring extra snags and eggs

How do you get on with all the frame mods, does that violate ADR approvals or anything?

In NZ we can modify almost any part of the bike except the frame without needing any sort of mechanical approval, once the frame is touched then it requires a low volume certification, much like what your hot rod builders go through.

OK, In NZ welding extra brackets onto the frame to support a load such as a sidecar would be considered a modification.

I've also added two tubes and several gussets that can not be seen in the pic's.
I've got one more tube to add and that one will be visible and do double duty.

When I strip it down for paint I'll press out the two front lower rubber engine mount bushes and replace them with solid inserts.

Well , either Ikea's instructions are crap or they put the door on the wrong side .

I'll ask them when I speak with them tomorrow.

ps , the wood screws they supply are a bitch to start.

Not the instructions, more likely due to the use of the "tool" on the step in the previous pic!
